Matt Pearce | Director

Matt has more than twenty five years' experience in the media industries in the UK, Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to forming Talk2 Media and Events, he was International Director at Diversified Business Communications Inc. and also served as Managing Director of Diversified Exhibitions Australia Pty Ltd. Prior, he was General Manager – Publishing with PMP. Between 1999 and 2003, he was Managing Director for Sportsworld Media Group.. He’s also past Chair of the Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia.

Steve Malbourne | Director

Steve has twenty years’ experience in finance gained primarily in media and creative industries in Europe and Australia. He started his career in London with the Publicis group, where he took on increasingly senior roles with their design business. Between 2007 and early 2016, he was with Diversified Communications, starting as Finance Manager then Finance Director for Australia, and finally Finance Director for all Asia Pacific entities. He is a CPA and qualified from a Wharton executive course.

Richard Wright | Director

Richard has nearly 30 years of event experience (he does say he started at a very young age!) working in the UK, Australia and across Asia launching and developing leading consumer & trade events. Here’s a few - BBC Good Food Show, Destinations Travel Show, Restaurant Show, Enterprise 2000, Daily Mail Personal Finance Show, BBC Tomorrow’s World, Affordable Art Fairs, Baby to Toddler Shows, Better Homes & Gardens Live, Fashion Weekend, Taste Festivals as well as touring shows Jamie Oliver Live, Top Gear Live ... just to name a few.

Claire Back | Event Director - Good Food & Wine Show

Claire is a passionate and creative events professional with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. She is a skilled leader with extensive experience in team management, driving revenue, establishing and nurturing partnerships, strategic marketing, communications and developing new experiences to drive new business. Through her motivation and leadership skills, she drives a hard-working, focused workplace and team. Claire has a proven history of developing, creating and commercialising events to ensure profitability and innovation. Her enthusiasm for the food and wine industry as a whole makes her the perfect individual to be leading the award-winning Good Food and Wine Show.

Silke Calder | Event Director – AIME and International Business Development

Silke is a highly motivated sales and event specialist with over 20 years of experience in various fields including events and trade fairs as well as the creative/agency sector. She possesses exceptional communication and negotiation skills in both German and English with native ability, along with the skill to nurture long-term client relationships as well as lead and motivate a team. Having previously worked as the Head of Sales Guest Events at Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH, as well as other companies across Germany, Australia and the UAE, Silke brings a unique set of skills and an international mindset to the Talk2 ME team.

Jo Duncan | Marketing Director

Jo started her career in the UK working for event organiser, Single Market Events. When Single Market Events opened an office in Sydney in 2004 and in 2007, Jo was asked to take on the role of Marketing Director at the Australian company which later developed into a General Manager role. Jo is currently the Marketing Director of the Good Food and Wine Shows and Baby To Toddler Shows nationally with a strong marketing team managing the shows. She has a wealth of experience in running and marketing consumers show in Australia, the UK and Asia.

Kelly Irwin | Event Director

Kelly (Haechler) Irwin has over 12 years' experience in consumer events and festivals, making her the perfect fit for leading the dynamic New Scientist Live team. She started her career organising music concerts for A list celebrities with Live Nation in Dubai and has since managed the stadium calendar and events for Wembley Stadium in London, headed up the Ticketing for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, Operations Manager for Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and Group Consumer Events Director heading the consumer event portfolio for Yas Island and the Abu Dhabi Government.

Darren Loewy | Senior Operations Manager

Darren Loewy has over 20 years' experience in the Hospitality and Events industries and has worked across all event sectors, overseeing the Operations of small to large events across the country’s leading venues. As one of the original staff members of Talk2 Media & Events, Darren is passionate about the events industry. Darren works tirelessly to establish and build strong partnerships with industry suppliers. Drawing on his experiences across consumer and trade shows, Darren continues to deliver a new and fresh looking shows.

Michael Silber | Event Director - Enlit Australia

Michael is a media executive with broad experience in tradeshows and conferences, book publishing, international product development as well as traditional trade magazines and ancillary businesses. He has been CEO of several media companies including Chemical Week Associates, a private equity backed growth platform, Intervisual Books, a publisher of children’s titles and Australian custom publisher Countrywide Austral. He also has served as Division President for the energy businesses of PennWell, which included POWERGEN International, Distributech and other power and energy events around the world. Now based in Australia he’s launched events in recent years in the Asia-Pacific region for the energy industries.
